Graun, August Friedrich

Graun, August Friedrich, German organist and composer, brother of Carl Heinrich and Johann Gottlieb Graun; b. Wahrenbriick, near Dresden, 1699; d. Merseburg, May 5, 1765. He was active as an organist and cantor at Merseburg, where he settled in 1729. Only one of his works is preserved, Kyrie et Gloria for 4 Voices with Instruments.
