Golestan Stan

Golestan, Stan, Romanian-born French composer and music critic; b. Vaslui, June 7, 1875; d. Paris, April 21, 1956. He settled in Paris and studied composition and orchestration with d’Indy, Roussel, and Dukas at the Schola Cantorum (1895-1903). He then was a music critic for Le Figaro. In 1915 he won the Enesco Prize for composition.
