Fénelon, Philippe

Fénelon, Philippe, French composer; b. Suevres, Nov. 23, 1952. He studied at the Orleans Cons, and with Messiaen at the Paris Cons, (premier prix in composition, 1977). From 1981 to 1983 he was in residence at the Casa Velasquez in Spain. In 1984 he received the Prix Herve Dugardin from the SACEM. He was in Berlin in 1988 under the auspices of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst. In 1991 he was a laureate of the external Prix Villa Medicis.
