Dzegelenok, Alexander (Mikhailovich)
Dzegelenok, Alexander (Mikhailovich), Russian composer; b. Moscow, Aug. 24, 1891; d. there, Jan. 31, 1969. He studied piano (diploma, 1914) and composition (with Koreshchenko, 1918) at the Music and Drama School of the Moscow Phil. Soc. In 1919 he organized the Moscow People’s Cons., serving as its director (1920–21). He then taught piano at the Moscow Technical School of Music (1926–34).
