Dreyschock, Raimund
Dreyschock, Raimund, Bohemian violinist, brother of Alexander Dreyschock and father of Felix Dreyschock; b. Zack, Aug. 20, 1824; d. Leipzig, Feb. 6, 1869. He was a pupil of Pixis in Prague. He was concertmaster at the Gewandhaus concerts (1850–69) and a violin teacher in the Cons, at Leipzig. His wife, Elizabeth (nee Nose, b. Cologne, 1832; d. there, July, 1911), was a contralto singer who founded and man-aged a vocal academy in Berlin.
