Doyen, Albert
Doyen, Albert, French composer and choral conductor; b. Vendresse, Ardennes, April 3, 1882; d. Paris, Oct. 22,1935. He studied composition with Widor at the Paris Cons. In 1917 he established the choral society Fêtes du Peuple. Among his works are a Sym., an ode in memory of Emile Zola, String Quartet, Piano Trio, Violin Sonata, and numerous choral compositions.
