Douglas, (Richard) Roy (b Tunbridge Wells, 1907). Eng. composer, arranger, and music editor. Orch. of Chopin for ballet Les Sylphides used by many cos. Worked closely with Vaughan Williams 1944–58, and wrote book about their assoc. Working with RVW (1972). Comp. and arr. of mus. for brass band.
