Demarquez, Suzanne , French composer and writer on music; b. Paris, July 5, 1899; d. there, Oct. 23, 1965. She studied at the Paris Cons. She composed chamber music, including a sprightly Flute Sonatine (1953). She publ. Andre Jolivet (Paris, 1958), Manuel de Falla (Paris, 1963; Eng. tr., 1968), and Hector Berlioz (Paris, 1969).
