Bell’Haver, Vincenzo

Bell’Haver, Vincenzo, Italian organist and composer; b. Venice, c. 1530; d. there, probably in Sept. 1587. He was organist of the church of the Crosieri in Padua by 1567, then organist at the Scuola Grande di S. Rocco in Venice (1568–84), cathedral organist in Padua (1584–85), and first organist at San Marco in Venice (from 1586). He publ. books of madrigals (1567–75), but only book II is extant; single works are also found in contemporary collections.
