Antill, John (Henry)
Antill, John (Henry), Australian composer; b. Sydney, April 8, 1904; d. there, Dec. 29, 1986. He studied with Alfred Hill at the New South Wales State Conser-vatorium of Music in Sydney; from 1934 to 1971 he worked for the Australian Broadcasting Commission (later Corp.). In 1971 he received the Order of the British Empire, and in 1981 was made a Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George.
