Ahle, Johann Georg
Ahle, Johann Georg, German organist, writer on music, and composer, son of Johann Rudolf Ahle; b. Mühlhausen (baptized), June 12, 1651; d. there, Dec. 2, 1706. He succeeded his father as organist in Mühlhausen in 1673, and was made poet laureate by Emperor Leopold I in 1680. He composed sacred and secular music.
