Accorimboni, Agostino

Accorimboni, Agostino, Italian composer; b. Rome, Aug. 29, 1739; d. there, Aug. 13, 1818. He was a pupil of Rinaldo di Capua. He composed 13 stage works (1768–85), the most notable being his comic opera II regno delle Amazzoni (Parma, Dec. 27, 1783). Among his other works were a Sym. and sacred music, including an oratorio.
