Snakes on a Plane
Snakes on a Plane ★★ 2006 (R)
And the title says it all. An Internet fanphenom long before its opening, the studio was so taken by the buzz that they had director Ellis do some re-shoots to make the popcorn flick scarier (more snakes, more gore). FBI agent Neville Flynn (Jackson) is escorting a witness on a commercial flight from Hawaii to L.A. When the plane is halfway over the ocean, some 400 deadly snakes are let loose from a time-release crate into the cabin in an effort to eliminate the witness and apparently everyone else. Unfortunately, the flick doesn't live up to the buzz, failing to supply the gleeful camp and wink that the title suggests, and that the audience expects. 105m/C DVD . US Samuel L.
