The Powerpuff Girls Movie
The Powerpuff Girls Movie ★★★ 2002 (G)
Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles hit the big screen. The bigeyed trio of super powered kindergartners came into existence after a botched science experiment by Professor Utonium, who mixed his sugar, spice, and everything nice recipe with a little Chemical X (thanks to Jojo the lab chimp). The “X” factor has left the seemingly normal tots with super powers. After a mishap leaves their father/creator in jail, the girls join up with Jojo (voice of Jackson), who since has been genetically altered by Chemical X himself and acquired a taste for world domination, unbeknownst to the Power Pack. Runs a bit long, but creator/ director McCracken's cool retro animation, fastpaced editing, and satiric fun makes the spunky girls' actionpacked film debut a winner with kids and adults alike. 74m/C VHS, DVD .
