Plump Fiction ★ 1997 (R)

The movie that proves beyond a doubt that when you make fun of Quentin Tarantino, you should stick to his truly horrible acting. Instead, this spoof attacks his already over-the-top characters from “Pulp Fiction” and “Natural Born Killers.” Julius (Davidson) and Jimmy (Dinello) are the loser hit men, and Mimi (Brown) is the gangster's wife. You see, Mimi has a substance abuse problem, but it's not cocaine. It's food! She's fat, get it? Ha! Ha ha. Ha? Hmm. Intersecting storylines feature Nicky (Glave) and Vallory (Segall, doing a dead-on Juliette Lewis) as “Natural Blonde Killers.” The only redeeming scene is that of Kane Picoy as “Christopher Walken character,” doing an uncanny impersonation of the king of the psychos. 82m/C VHS, DVD . Tommy Davidson, Julie Brown, Sandra Bernhard, Paul Dinello, Dan Castellaneta, Colleen Camp, Pamela Segall, Kevin Meaney, Matthew Glave, Jennifer Rubin, Robert Costanzo, Phillipe Bergerone; D: Bob Koherr; W: Bob Koherr; C: Rex Nicholson; M: Michael Muhlfriedel.
