O'KEEFFE, Frank
O'KEEFFE, Frank. Canadian (born Ireland), b. 1938. Genres: Children's fiction, Young adult fiction. Career: Writer, 1985-. Worked as an insurance broker, Calgary, Alberta, 1957-1970; Yellowhead School Division, Edson, Alberta, teacher-librarian and teacher, 1973-1988, substitute teacher, 1988- 1996. Has taught creative writing at Lakehead College and for the Edmonton Public School system in Alberta. Also worked briefly on a sheep station in Australia in the 1970s and owned a modest cattle farm before moving from Alberta to British Columbia in 1997. Conducts creative writing workshops for children. Publications: Guppy Love, or, The Day the Fish Tank Exploded, 1986, in French as Amour et petits poissons, 1992; School Stinks!, 1991; (with M.
