MOFFETT, Samuel Hugh. American (born Korea), b. 1916. Genres: History, Theology/Religion. Missionary of the United Presbyterian Church: to China, 1947-51: member of faculty, Yenching University, Peking, 1948-49, Nanking Theological Seminary, 1949-50; to Korea, 1955-81; Principal, Kyongan Higher Bible School, Andong, 1957-59; Professor of Historical Theology and Church History, 1960-81, Dean of Graduate School, 1966-70, and Associate President, 1970-81, Presbyterian College and Theological Seminary, Seoul; Director, Asian Center for Theological Studies and Mission, Seoul, 1974-81.
