Garden of Evil
Garden of Evil ★★½ 1954
On their way to the gold fields, Hooker (Cooper), Fiske (Widmark), and Daly (Mitchell) are stranded in a Mexican village. Leah (Hayward) offers the three strangers big bucks if they'll rescue her husband (Marlowe), who was injured in a gold mining accident. The mine is located in a remote mountain region and the group find themselves besieged by Apaches. Equal excitement went on behind the camera as a temperamental Hayward walked off the set whenever she didn't like Hathaway's brusque directing. 100m/C DVD . Gary Cooper, Susan Hayward, Richard Widmark, Cameron Mitchell, Hugh Marlowe, Victor Manuel Mendoza, Rita Moreno; D: Henry Hathaway; W: Frank Fenton; C: Milton Krasner; M: Bernard Herrmann.
