Princess of Leiningen. Born Kira Melita Feodore Mary Victoria Alexandra on July 18, 1930, in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany; daughter of Charles, 6th prince of Leiningen, andMarie of Russia (1907–1951); married Andrei Karadjordjevic (son of Alexander I, king of Yugoslavia), on September 18, 1963 (divorced 1972, died in Irvine, California, in 1990, as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning); children: Lavinia Maria (b. 1961); Vladimir (b. 1964); Dmitri (b. 1965). Andrei Karadjordjevic's first wife wasChristine of Hesse-Cassel (b. 1933); his third wasEva Maria Andjelkovich , known as Mitsi.
