Givetian
1. An age in the Middle Devonian Epoch preceded by the Eifelian, followed by the Frasnian, and dated at 380.8–377.4 Ma ( Harland et al., 1989).

2. The name of the corresponding European stage that is zoned on goniatites and spiriferid brachiopods. It is roughly contemporaneous with the lower Condobolinian (Australia) and Erian (N. America).
