Albert, Lake Lake on the border between Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda, in the Rift Valley of e central Africa. Albert is fed by the River Semliki and the Victoria Nile and drained by the Albert Nile (Bahr el-Jebel). Ugandans call it Lake Nyanza and the Zaïrians named it Lake Mobuto Sese Seko. Length: 160km (100mi). Average width: 35km (22mi). Max. depth: 51m (168ft). Area: 5350sq km (2050sq mi).
