Spencer, Sir Stanley
Spencer, Sir Stanley (1891–1959) English painter. During World War 2, he was a war artist and painted a series of large pictures showing shipbuilding on the Clyde. He is also known for his nude paintings, such as the Leg of Mutton Nude (1937).
