Description:

Independent, 4-year, coed. Awards associate and bachelor's degrees. Founded 1904. Setting: 35-acre urban campus. Endowment: $74.8 million. Research spending 2003-04: $66,000. Educational spending 2003-04: $3476 per student. Total enrollment: 3,597. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 24:1. 3,699 applied, 63% were admitted. Full-time: 3,018 students, 20% women, 80% men. Part-time: 579 students, 13% women, 87% men. Students come from 36 states and territories, 41 other countries, 40% from out-of-state, 0.1% Native American, 4% Hispanic, 4% black, 5% Asian American or Pacific Islander, 3% international, 12% 25 or older, 41% live on campus, 4% transferred in.
