Description: Federally supported, 4-year, coed. Awards bachelor's degrees. Founded 1802. Setting: 16,080-acre small town campus with easy access to New York City. Total enrollment: 4,242. Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 7:1. 12,688 applied, 10% were admitted. 50% from top 10% of their high school class, 81% from top quarter, 97% from top half. 192 National Merit Scholars, 234 class presidents, 100 valedictorians, 491 student government officers. Full-time: 4,242 students, 15% women, 85% men.
