Community Environment: Located a mile high in the forested mountains of central Arizona, Prescott has a moderate climate and four seasons. Described by "Arizona Highways" magazine as "Everybody's Hometown," the community is known for its friendly atmosphere and small town charm. It was the capital of the Territory of Arizona back in the 1800s and the old governor's mansion still stands today. The town is rich in local history including gold-mining lore, cowboys, and the historic Roughriders. Classic Victorian homes line the streets. With clean air, abundant sunshine, and natural beauty in every direction, the Prescott area is truly an enjoyable place to live.
