Description:
Independent, comprehensive, coed. Awards bachelor's and master's degrees. Founded 1936. Setting: 200-acre urban campus. Endowment: $5.1 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $5868 per student. Total enrollment: 315. Faculty: 45 (21 full-time, 24 part-time). Student-undergrad faculty ratio is 11:1. 314 applied, 65% were admitted. Full-time: 257 students, 52% women, 48% men. Collegiate Environment:

Community Environment:
Memphis is a friendly city. It's large enough to support a cultural life of high quality, but small enough not to overwhelm. The cost of living is low. The school is located in midtown, near the Mississippi River.
