Independent Roman Catholic (Jesuit), university, coed. Awards bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and first professional degrees. Founded 1789. Setting: 110-acre urban campus. Endowment: $703.4 million. Research spending 2003-04: $125.4 million. Educational spending 2003-04: $15,319 per student. Total enrollment: 13,233. Faculty: 1,068 (707 full-time, 361 part-time). Collegiate Environment:
