Community Environment: Population of the Delaware Valley exceeds 4,716,000. Cheyney's campus looks out on open fields and wooded hills in one of Pennsylvania's most scenic areas, yet the campus is less than an hour from Philadelphia. The summer temperatures range from 70 to 90 degrees, with winter ranges from 20 to 50 degrees. The area is served by bus and railroad. All major religious denominations are represented in town. There are very few shopping facilities in the immediate area. Part-time employment is available in neighboring community.
